Adding data to your plan
1. Make sure your device is connected to the internet with Wi-Fi or mobile data
2. Launch the TextNow app
3. Tap the Menu button in the top-left corner
4. Select Get Unlimited Data
5. If you haven't already purchased a data plan, you'll see hour, day, and month pass options, otherwise, you will only see the option to upgrade to the month pass.
Canceling or renewing your month pass subscription
You can make changes to your month pass subscription by visiting the My Account page, or following the instructions below to do so in the app:
1. Make sure your device is connected to the internet with Wi-Fi or mobile data
2. Launch the TextNow app
3. Tap the Menu button in the top-left corner
3. Tap on your Month Pass subscription
4. Select Cancel Month Pass to end your subscription, or if you've already used 10GB and want more high-speed data before your subscription renews, you can choose Renew Now to restart your subscription.

What if I don't see the option to purchase a data pass?
Make sure you're logged into an account on our Free Essential Data plan with an active TextNow SIM card. If you still don't see the option to add an unlimited data pass, or if you need help activating your SIM card, you can contact our support team by following the instructions at the bottom of this page.
Is an hour or day pass a subscription?
Hourly and daily data passes are one-time purchases and not a subscription, which means you will immediately be granted access to mobile data for 1 hour or 24 hours upon confirming your purchase, depending on the pass you've selected. You cannot manage or cancel data pass purchases, but you can check the status and see how much time remains before your data access ends by opening the app menu or visiting the My Account page.
What happens if I purchase a monthly subscription while I have an active hour or day pass?
If you upgrade before your data pass ends, the monthly subscription will begin as soon as the data pass ends. This means that you won't see the subscription active on your account until the timer runs out for your data pass.
Why am I experiencing slower speeds?
Our month pass offers 10GB of high-speed data with unlimited 2G speeds after. If you've used 10GB of data you'll experience slightly slower speeds until your plan renews. You can manually renew your plan at any time to restart your subscription and raise your high-speed data limit immediately.
What if I have a data plan that is not listed anymore?
If you were subscribed to one of our previous data offerings, your plan will be grandfathered in and your subscription will continue until you choose a new plan or cancel it. You can still renew your plan at any time, but if you choose to subscribe to a new plan you will not be able to return to any plan that is not currently available to be purchased in the app.
How can I review my payment history?
On the My Account page, clicking on Purchase History will show a list of invoices for all of your past payments.
Can I remove the card information from my account?
Every TextNow account has to have at least one card associated with it. You can change your card information on the My Account page under Payment Methods.
