Verifying account ownership
When you start a conversation with us through our chat support or social media, you'll be asked to verify your profile information before we can make any changes or share information about the account. This information includes:
- Email address used to register the account
- Full name entered on the account
- ZIP code entered on the account
You can view and update your profile information by following these steps:
- Open the TextNow app and log in to your account
- Go to the app menu by clicking on the 3 lines in the top left corner
- Select 'Settings'
- Tap on 'Account' (on Android) or 'My Profile' (on iOS)
- Scroll down the page to review your profile information
- If you need to update any of your information, tap on the field you want to change and enter your updated information then hit the 'OK' or 'Done' button
