TextNow is currently only available to be downloaded and used within North America. If you are outside of North America, you will not be able to register for an account through the app or on our website.
Can I use my TextNow service in Mexico or Canada?
If your TextNow line is based in the United States, roaming lets you keep using it when you travel.
- Mexico is included on every TextNow wireless plan with an active SIM card, including the Free plan.
- Canada is included on the Plus and Unlimited plans.
Within North America, as long as you have a data connection or access to WiFi, you can download the TextNow app on Android or iOS and get a free number to call and text any other North American numbers for free. If you want to call a local number outside of North America you will need to buy International Long Distance credits, which you can learn how to do in this article.
