What is a Premium Number?

Love TextNow but don't love your number? You can now upgrade to a Premium number that is both easy to remember and locked to your account for the remainder of your subscription. 

How does it work? 

When you get a Premium Number you get a number that is YOURS and yours only. You can use it for your side hustle, your job hunting, and more! 

Premium numbers are locked to your account for the remainder of your subscription regardless of how much you use it, and they support verification codes too! 

How can I get it? 

There are two ways to get a Premium Number:

When you first sign up

1. When sign up for an account you'll be prompted to choose your number, including the option to buy a Premium Number.
2. Tap 'Continue for $4.99/year' (This price is in USD, and may change based on your location.)
3. Follow the onscreen steps from Google or Apple to complete your purchase.
4. After a successful purchase you'll be taken to Conversations page of TextNow where you can try out your new number!

Releasing your current number

Note: you will not be able to get your number back after releasing it, so only do so if you are absolutely sure you want to get a new number.

iOS

1. Open the TextNow app and click on the menu icon in the top-left corner.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Select My Profile.
4. Scroll down and select TextNow Number.
5. Select Get a New Phone Number.
6. Click YES, to confirm that you would like to release your number (this cannot be undone)
7. Select a new number. If you do not like the Premium Number suggested, click refresh to see more options.

Android

1. Open the TextNow app and tap on the menu icon in the top-left.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Click on Account.
4. Scroll down and select TextNow Number.
5. Click the 3 dots in the top-right corner.
6. Select Release Number.
7. Click YES, to confirm you would like to release your number (this cannot be undone).
8. Select a new number. If you do not like the Premium Number suggested, click refresh. 

Can I bundle other upgrades with Premium Number?

Yes! If you'd also like to add Ad Free Lite or Ad Free+ you can do so any time via the My Store page or within the main menu.
